When installing Oscar Bituminous Membrane, the surface must be clean, dry and sound. Dust, oil, dirt and any residues that could reduce adhesion should be removed beforehand. Applying a bitumen primer is recommended for stronger bonding.

The membrane rolls are unrolled in the direction of installation. The underside is heated in a controlled manner with a torch flame and bonded to the substrate. For waterproofing performance, it is important to overlap the seams by at least 10 cm and to inspect the welded areas carefully.
